The project
Ferdinand Apartments is a contemporary loft-style development of nine one, two and three-bedroom apartments in an eclectic, stylishly designed building on Ferdinand Place, in the middle of Camden Town.
Each apartment was designed as somewhere to decompress, and every one has an outside area for eating and drinking out of doors.
Ferdinand Apartments is one of nineteen projects for Luxgrove Homes, alongside West Lodge, Ivy Gardens and Foxmore Place.
Loft-style, done properly
Loft style is usually shorthand for exposed brick. Here it means the proportions: tall windows, generous ceiling heights, and a plan that keeps the living space open while giving the bedrooms real separation.
The specification runs warm and material — dark joinery, stone, pale upholstery and timber — with the terraces treated as rooms rather than leftover roof. In Camden, private outdoor space is the thing worth paying for.
The identity
FERDINAND APARTMENTS is set in a classical serif against a black-and-white geometric pattern — shapes cut and rearranged, closer to a print than a logo. It gives a nine-apartment scheme a strong graphic identity without pretending it is a large development.
The pattern carries the brochure cover and the website, with the CGIs providing the only colour on the page. It runs into the building too, laid as the entrance hall floor tiling — the element that connects the identity to the interiors, as on most of the schemes we deliver.
This project was delivered under the Ademchic brand.
